Great for their Self Esteem!
I've heard two references in the past week to the existance of a 4.7 grade point average. Is this some kind of 'Generation Z' nonsense or is it more like having a QB rating of 158.3?Back in my day it was a 4.0 GPA kiddo and I got nowhere even close to it!

Not sure if its relevant to the conversations you heard, but I learned while processing PhD applications at BU that many foreign countries grade on a 5 point system.
