What better way to say I love you....

....than with the gift of a spatula.

Seal of Approval

I loved the Clone Wars! But I'm a real sucka. I think it stands up to all the live action episodes so go see it unless, of course, you are a hater. I wouldn't be surprised to see endless installments of the saga via this animated medium.

There were only 3 people in the theatre on a tuesday night btw.

propaganda machine

Friends of mine are coming together to build a networking space where folks can make plans for exercising and play. I've been working on the marketing of such an idea. Visit the site!

The Disc Proof Basket

Favorite Moments of XXIX Thus Far

I have come to complete anticipation each night for Mary Carillo's awkward, edgy reports about Chinese culture. She ate panda food the other night and enjoyed it!

My absolute favorite moment of these games though has to go to Ara Abrahamian of Sweden who refused his bronze medal. "I don't care about this medal. I wanted gold. This will be my last match. I wanted to take gold, so I consider this Olympics a failure.''

That's the spirit!

I'm rooting against Phelps and NBC because it's fun! I understand now why everyone hates us.

Beach Chair Review

RIO Brand Backpack Chair
$30-$60 Retail

Should have got the top one but instead I purchased the bottom.

It was on sale this week and I'm in the market as I finally realized all my beach guests are refusing to sit in my old broken down ones. They served me well.

I like the idea of the backpack chair which is all the rage in SC this summer. I can truck it, and my shit, more safely on my bicycle. Promised not to do the hasty impulse buy but it was a sale and there was one left and well.....

So I say the top version because the bottom felt real nice in the store but on the sand I really noticed it's a generally slouchy chair. Was difficult to get comfy except in the most reclined setting. I'm guessing the tie ups held by the grommets resolve this issue. I will try to do a similar retro fit on mine and will report back.

I take leisure seriously!

....maybe

I have simmered down a bit though...tossing about once a week. My game has suffered as a result but I'm appreciating my moments on the course.

I do find that being carless has affected my motivation for getting to Dela which sits atop a hill.
